Spring 2008

Dollywood's Annual Festival of Nations with more than 250 international performers at this multicultural spring festival featuring musicians, dancers and artisans bringing a world of entertainment to the Great Smoky Mountains. March 21 - May, 2008.

3rd Annual Bloomin' Barbeque & Bluegrass Festival is the largest event in Sevierville! Tennessee State Championship Barbeque Cook-Off, FREE bluegrass concerts from Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver and The Del McCoury Band, kids games, great food and authentic mountain crafts. Admission is free. May 16-17, 2008.

26th Annual Gatlinburg Scottish Festival and Games Scottish clans meeting featuring Highland athletics, bagpipe competitions, Highland dancing, border collie demonstrations, haggis hurling, entertainment, whiskey tasting, food & merchandise vendors, held at Mills Park in Gatlinburg TN., 1 mile from Hemlock Hills Gatlinburg Resort. May 17-18, 2008.

Gatlinburg Fine Arts Festival is a family oriented fine arts festival featuring juried artists from around the country, delicious cuisine and music. River Road at Ripley's Aquarium across from Best Western Crossroads Inn. May 17-18, 2008.

6th Annual Smoky Mountain Springfest is a countywide celebration of the season in the cities of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge & Sevierville featuring special events, local craft shows and much more. Gatlinburg will fill the city and line the streets with springtime blooms and Pigeon Forge offers special entertainment, outlet shopping sales and the Annual Dolly Parade! March - June 8, 2008

Summer 2008

3rd Annual Smoky Mountain Tunes and Tales Festival features Arts, Entertainment, and History throughout the city of Gatlinburg. Dramatic entertainment, story telling, and music by local artists strolling the Parkway each evening Early June 13 - August 31, 2008. Enjoy even more local art when staying at Hemlock Hills Cabin Rentals in the Arts & Crafts Community.

Dollywood Kidsfest is the 2nd Dollywood festival of year, focused on entertaining kids of all ages with special appearances by kid-favorite characters, kid friendly shows and attractions, and lots of imagination! Ride the trolley to Dollywood from Cold Creek Condo Rentals. Mid June - August, 2008. 

Annual 4th of July Independence Day Celebrations across the Smokies in Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Gatlinburg presents the first July 4th parade in the nation at midnight, July 3. Pigeon Forge kicks off their Patriot Festival at Patriot Park at 5 p.m. with free entertainment and fireworks display at dusk. July 3-4, 2008.

Annual Celebrate Freedom! Festival honors American veterans and current military personnel during a full month of discounts and savings at participating county businesses.  August, 2008.

3rd Annual MountainFest Celebration begins at noon to 10 p.m. on Friday, August 15 and from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturday, August 16 in downtown Gatlinburg across from Hard Rock Cafe near Best Western Crossroads and Best Western Twin Islands. Entertainment includes numerous popular mountain bands. Gatlinburg Mountain Fest features Arts, Entertainment, Food, and History.

Annual Smoky Mountain Harvest Festival is a countywide celebration of harvest season including the cities of Gatlinburg, Sevierville & Pigeon Forge. Dollywood's National Gospel & Harvest Celebration celebrates Autumn with four weeks of free Southern gospel concerts, visiting crafters, beautiful autumn décor & fantastic foods. Ride the trolley from Cold Creek Resort to Dollywood! Early October-Early November, 2008.

Robert Tino's Smoky Mountain Homecoming at the Robert Tino Gallery off Hwy 66, Smoky Mountain Homecoming unveils Robert Tino's latest mountain print and features authentic mountain craftsmen, roving storytellers, mountain music, and antique games for the kids. Admission is free. Early October, 2008.

11th Annual Taste of Autumn allows you to sample signature dishes from the area finest restaurants. Enjoy live entertainment, live auction with a cash bar. Proceeds benefit United Way of Sevier County. Gatlinburg Convention Center. Stay at Crossroads Inn or Twin Islands!

8th Annual Safe Halloween Celebration at Pigeon Forge Community Center from 6-9 p.m. Hosted by the city of Pigeon Forge Parks & Recreation department, your children can enjoy a hayride, games, cosmic bowling, movie, entertainment & "Trick or Treating."Most local restaurants and outlet shopping malls also participate in handing out Halloween treats. October 31, 2008.

Winter 2008

19th Annual Smoky Mountain Winterfest Celebration has become one of the south's most popular events! Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and Sevierville each honor the coming of winter with fantastic kick-off events featuring entertainment, great food and twinkling lights.
